11 Life-Changing Things the Bible Has to Say About God’s Love

“Jesus loves me – this I know, for the Bible tells me so.” I remember hearing this hymn a great deal growing up. We would sing it during Sunday school class, and my mom sang it with my sister and me at home. So thankfully, as a child, I was no stranger to the fact that God loved me.

Growing up in a Christian home, attending a Christian school, and being involved in church all my life helped ingrain the truth that “God loves you” in my mind. However, there is a difference between knowing a fact and genuinely experiencing it.

For example, you can know that Niagara Falls exists. You can see pictures or videos of it and hear people’s stories of seeing it in person. Yet, it doesn’t compare to the experience of standing at the viewing platform, looking over the edge, feeling the mist of the rushing water, and taking in Niagara Falls with your own eyes. Mentally knowing and physically experiencing are two different things.

The same can be said when it comes to God’s love. Growing up, I knew that Jesus loved me. I’d been told hundreds of times, read it in the Bible, and truly believed it in my heart. But it wasn’t until I was in my early twenties that I would fully accept and experience the magnitude, power, and overwhelming love Christ had for me.

Yes, my friends… God’s love is tangible, alive, and fully capable of being felt and experienced by us in the here and now. It’s not just a fact or piece of knowledge to be known and believed, tucked away in our brains. It’s an experience and a life-changing revelation we encounter and feel in our hearts.

I completely understand if you've come to think of God’s love more as a fact to be remembered rather than a tangible gift to be experienced and explored. So let’s dive into Scripture together and discover some life-changing revelations about God’s love. I hope these revelations will encourage you to open your hearts to fully experience the Lord’s greatest gift while increasing your faith and expanding your awe of our wonderful God!
